Two 2,000 square feet apartments are combined in this project. Their point of connection was a tangle of gas lines, air-conditioning chases, chimneys, plumbing risers and structural columns. Above, an L-shaped volume of cabinetry conceals these obstructions, while maximizing connections between the combined spaces.
